This is a wonderful event for all students, and especially for our ESL students who need to hone their listening and speaking skills, and learn new ways of communicating. It will be a great addition to your school's Language Arts offerings, and your students can earn credit for it.
There will be a variety of skills taught in the course, including reading and vocabulary development, listening, speaking, note taking, work with groups, role playing, writing, and a lot of discussion. I hope students will come to the course with a passion for language, and the hope that they will leave the course with a set of tools and skills that will help them learn and use language more effectively. If you have students who are really passionate about language, and want to help them develop their language skills and learn to be more effective communicators, I think it will be a great learning opportunity.
And this is one of the things that makes a group different from a team. A team has to make choices which is a good thing, because it creates competition. But a group has to make different choices, because otherwise everyone will be doing the same thing and achieve the same goals. And that's not good, because no one will know which way is the best way.
There may be various combinations of the above and many more. The only thing that matters is having the students in your group talk to each other and create connections. The students should be moving from one idea to the next, figuring out how to create an elegant visual that connects with the next idea, and so on. There is an endless stream of connections to be made, and a lot of them can be made by the same group of students.
Any and all of these skills are important in a group project. But this is the art of the group project. It's about finding the right mix of people, places, and resources, and that means finding ways for the students to collaborate, communicate, and cooperate. That means finding ways for different students to work together in their strengths.
Some applications, such as Java, require that the application directories and libraries are updated to a newer version before the user can update. However, there are some applications that are not explicitly API-specific, such as the X Window System, the X server source code, are automatically updated as required.
