Facebook makes it next to impossible to go back and find something that you whizzed past during a recent scroll. Don't lose that tasty-looking recipe or interesting article; save it for later. Tap the ellipsis menu in the top right of any post and select Save link or Save to watch later from the drop-down menu. This will send the link to your Saved folder. Where's your Saved folder? You actually won't see it until you save something. Then a little purple Saved ribbon appears in your left-hand favorites bar on the desktop; tap the hamburger menu on mobile. Saved Posts don't expire but they might disappear if the original poster deletes it. If you're a prolific saver, you can group your saved items into Collections to keep them organized.
6.4.3 invite your personal contacts to join a video chat with you using functionality in the Games (which may, for example, use third party messaging functionality available on your mobile device such as SMS, WhatsApp, email or other communication Apps). You must only invite people that have consented to receive such an invitation from you and who do not consider such messages unwanted or unsolicited.
Boasting millions of active users, Telegram bills itself as the fastest messaging app around. It works across devices on mobile and desktop platforms. You can store chat history in the cloud and share files with no limit on size, and chats are secured with 256-bit symmetric AES encryption, 2048-bit RSA encryption, and Diffie-Hellman secure key exchange. There is support for stickers and GIFs, photo and video editing, and group chats for up to 200,000 people. New features include animated stickers for photos or videos, a new media editor that makes it easy to enhance video quality and add texts and stickers, scheduled voice chats, and the option to set messages to auto-delete after 24 hours or seven days of sending. Telegram is also free with little to no ads, but they do have a premium subscription that gives you extra features like sending larger files, the ability to pin 10 chats, and a voice-to-text conversion feature.
A mobile messaging app for the post-Snowden age, Telegram is aimed squarely at the security conscious user. Telegram features fast, encrypted chat messaging, with client-server encryption for standard chats. A Secure Chat mode provides end-to-end encryption so that only you and your intended recipient can read it. You can even set messages to self-destruct. You can share videos, documents and participate in group chats of up to 200 users.
WeChat provides users with free mobile instant messaging, video and voice calls, group chat, and multimedia messaging (images, video, audio, stickers, etc). Up to 500 people can take part in chats, while a Time Capsule feature gives you the ability to create video messages that disappear after a day.
Line ranks among the best chat apps by providing chat, photo, video, and audio messaging, along with lively stickers and location sharing, as well as a social network-like Timeline system. At this time, the only way to access more emoji to set as the chat's default is from the Messenger web app. While you still won't find every emoji ever, the selection is significantly more extensive than on the mobile app. And when you change it in the web app, it also changes in the Messenger app and via other ways to chat.
You'll need to request the desktop site first (see Method 3 above), and even then it may not work. You'll know you're in the clear if your phone shows you Facebook as it appears on your computer. If you see a mobile site, you'll need to try again or try another browser, because you will only be able to use the default Facebook thumbs-up icon in chats in the mobile version and you can't change it.
Despite a recent PR catastrophe surrounding an ill-advised update to their privacy policy, WhatsApp is still the most popular mobile messaging app on earth, beating Facebook Messenger, WeChat, QQ, Telegram, and Snapchat to the title.
Easier group messaging was another advantage of smartphone messaging apps and also contributed to their adoption. Before the introduction of messaging apps, smartphone users could only participate in single-person interactions via mobile voice calls or SMS. With the introduction of messaging apps, the group chat functionality allows all the members to see an entire thread of everyone's responses. Members can also respond directly to each other, rather than having to go through the member who started the group message, to relay the information.[38]
