If you want to ensure that you will be able to use the ADB without any hassle, we suggest updating all your drivers. You can manually do this, but the process can be tedious and time-consuming. Moreover, it can be risky. If you download and install the wrong driver, you might cause system instability issues on your PC.
So, if you do not have the patience and tech skills to manually update your drivers, we recommend that you use Auslogics Driver Updater. Once you activate this program, it will automatically identify what system version you have. That said, Auslogics Driver Updater will locate the latest manufacturer-recommended drivers that are compatible with your system.
What I have tried:After some Googling I found several guides telling me to add the devices hardware id to googles driver "android_winusb.inf" under [Google.NTx86] and [Google.NTamd64].
I couldn't update the ADB driver on Windows 10. When I tried installing the generic Google ADB driver by clicking on "Browse my computer for driver software" and choosing the driver folder, Windows ignored the drivers, saying there were no drivers found.
My computer has several possible matches in Device Manager when I selected choose the driver manually. I checked each one until I found what seemed to be the relevant one i.e. the Universal Driver, then from the list I picked the Android USB Driver. As you have a different device, you may need to pick a different device driver from the list.
Read the instructions below to manually install ADB and Fastboot drivers on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems. If you face any problems, confirm whether the latest mobile drivers are installed on your computer.
Thanks! The serial number has to show up in the command prompt (this means that ADB can see the phone, which is necessary).Download the Nexus drivers manually on this page and follow the instructions in Section III to install them.
This is not working for me. I have the Samsung Behold 2 and when I plug it in (With USB Debugging on), it shows up but says cannot find the device driver. I try to install this manually but it is still not working. Any help?
Follow the part of our procedure that tells you how to USB USBDeview and use that to uninstall all the htc drivers, then unplug and plug the phone back in and reinstall them manually (stop windows from checking windows update for the drivers when it tries).Good luck!
Seems like other people were having the same issue as me: the drivers not installing for the htc magic. The magic (and G1, others) are conspicuous in their absence in the list of drivers above. Also in the lack of replys to comments relating to difficulty with those drivers.
Hey i followed steps and my computer has android phones file and the adb thing so my driver is installed but on the comand prompt the cd AndroidSDK\tools\ comes up not recognized as internal or external command plz help ive tried reinstalling the android sdk and it still doesnt work. and yes i extracted it just like it says

Now no matter where I plug it in it cannot read the device. on top of that it fails to install the driver (manually or automatically) even if I run SDK setup.. Help? Hi i am having problems getting windows virtual pc to put drivers on my phone. I used sdk and updated everything. When I go into cmd and type in the command lines it just says list of devices attached. I get no serial number. I then proceeded to download drivers manually for behold 2. I went in Device Manager and behold 2 isnt listed. There are yellow question marks where it says other devices> virtual pc integration system. If i click on the setup in the drivers folder it says installed successfully but still no recognization that behold 2 is connected. Also for clarification usddeview shows no drivers or devices hooked up to delete. Please help. Is there somewhere specific I am supposed to manually save drivers?
Yeah! exact I have the same problem because my G1 phone is locked, I mean its not yet set up with an google to start working. it show only the welcome to t-mobile g1 and touch the android to begin page , so I cannot get into the phone to set the USbdebugging, in this case how can I do to install the right driver? I want to use the manner your described here (Activating the phone over wifi with a sim but no data plan) to activate it?
Don't let the "install" status fool you. All that means is that you've downloaded it. You still need to go to the Device Manager, and manually install the driver. Just browse to the SDK folder, and it'll be under one of those folders. I don't remember which one, but it's in there.
I have a dell venue 7 3g I have downloaded the drivers but when I try to fastboot it just says waiting for decices .please help I want unlock the boot loader.I have android SDK fastboot and abd drivers everuthing ,I go to cmd type fast boot oem devices it just shows waiting for devices.please help me.
I have enabled developer mode and usb debugging. Running adb devices in the command prompt shows no devices. I also tried connecting two other xperia phones (older models) to my PC and both have been detected instantly. I tried reinstalling my phone drivers and I tried using adb installer tool (link) but it didn't solve the problem. The phone works fine in MTP mode and I can transfer files to it without problems.
Then update the driver from device manager but select manual install, "Have disk", select "android_winusb.inf" and then "Android ADB Interface". I can connect to my M4 Aqua over ADB after installing this driver.
I've tried that already. Windows cannot find the driver in the extracted directory. I also tried using usb drivers downloaded with android sdk manager (not sure if the adb drivers are there to begin with), but it didn't help either.
So what are my options? Anyone found such a driver/INF that can be just installed and forgotten about or do I have to go the signing the modified android_winusb.inf with self-signed certificate route if I don't want to disable driver signature enforcement and such?
I did some cleaning up in Device Manager and removed two drivers that were downloaded from Windows Update for ADB, so now I have phone's entries under Universal Serial Bus devices, not under some custom categories like before. I also added USB\Class_FF&SubClass_42&Prot_01 ID to the list of Prevent installation of devices that match any of these devices ID group policy, so the OS won't try "updating" them. Manually installing ADB Device through update wizard in Device Manager while phone is in fastboot mode also works and makes it visible to fastboot utility.
Just to confirm, there are XP and later manufaturer drivers. Most likely you used this one in the past. -e3-xperia-e3-dual-driver/The manufacuter so0109adb.inf file uses the same driver and settings for ADB and fastboot mode.winusb.sys is used in both cases. _software_developmentADB and fastboot is a generic Android feature.Back to Windows 10 default files. No drivers added.ADB is installed out of the box.At fastboot select winusb.sys manually.
The device ID when in fastboot mode is VID_0FCE&PID_0DDE, so that *.inf couldn't help the OS detect it as compatible with the driver. But you can still set it for use with fastboot mode by manually selecting it in driver update wizard.
Sony dosn't offer a fastboot driver themself. -devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/how-to-unlock-bootloader/Sony recommends android.com USB drivers, android.com recommends Sony OEM dirvers.Loop closed, no signed fastboot drivers.
Back to Windows 10 1507. There is winusb.sys driver integrated. But neither ADB nor fastboot inf file.Xperia Z3: Both ADB and fastboot does work, by selecting winusb manually at device manager. To summarize this:Windows 10 1511 and later supports ADB out of the box. A signed driver is integrated. As for fastboot, select winusb manually at device manager.
You can do this through the Control Panel, by running C:\NVPACK\codeworksandroid_uninstall.exe, or by manually deleting all of the files in C:\NVPACK. Running the uninstaller will require a system reboot.
NVIDIA devices are generally compatible with Google's Android drivers, but in some cases, Google drivers will not have the additional device identifiers for automatic recognition. In these cases, you will need to apply drivers manually through the Device Manager in your operating system's Control Panel.
Please note that for each new Android device that you attach to your Windows computer you will need to repeat the steps described as below. Be cautious that you may do some changes to android_winusb.inf file found inside usb_driver\, for instant, to add support for other devices.
As a matter of fact, the computer will help automatically install the proper USB driver for your Android device when connecting it to the computer USB port for the first time. If not, you can install it manually by following steps: 2b1af7f3a8
