Outdoor Action Videos: OA has a small collection of videos on the outdoors. In some cases, these are copies of DVDs that OA owns. We keep these for reference, but don't use them for production of our own videos. Other videos are copies of public television and educational films that we have obtained from the Library of Congress and others. There are also a few videos that we have made ourselves.
Outdoor Action Education Videos: OA produces a large number of educational videos for the outdoors. This material is distributed on compact disks (CDs) or mailed to members on DVDs or VHS tapes.
History Library: The History Library has a vast collection of books, pamphlets, and ephemera on such subjects as the history of the Wilderness Society, the history of the National Parks, the history of hiking and backpacking, and the history of the Sierra Club. In addition, the collection includes rare books of natural history, but you will need to ask for them. OA itself does not hold a large collection of rare books, we are usually limited to the books that we acquire through our various publications and our regular donations.
